Publication Context: In the field of chemistry, with regards to authorship, the first listed author has generally contributed the most to the work and the last listed author is generally the lead with regards to formulating the work, supervising the students on the project and overseeing the work to publication. In our group, I work closely with students to develop their skills and gain confidence in scientific writing – as a result, we publish in a wide range of journals with impact factors that span a broad range.
